ACTING FOR TV COMMERCIALS

Introduction to Acting for the Camera One-Day Workshop

Curious About Acting for TV?

Lose those nerves, gain confidence and learn to audition like a pro! You will learn how to make the first contact with the agents. By taking this class, you have the opportunity to show the agents that you are serious about pursuing this type of work. If you already have an agent but want to increase your "Bookability" this workshop will give you the edge over your competitors (ask your agent, we're confident they'll agree!). If you don't have an agent, we'll explain how to get one. For ages 14 and up. Students under 18 may bring one parent or guardian at no additional cost.

What You Learn
  • Script analysis skills: We have written our own textbook that breaks this process down and makes it simple.

  • Comfort in front of the camera: How do you stand? How do you deal with your partner and the camera at the same time? What is a slate? What do you do with your hands?

  • How to do a Self-Taped audition which is the standard now because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • You will work on-camera all day and be given feedback to improve your skills. We will also discuss the “business" including discussions around unions, actor websites, demo reels, avoiding scams, etc.

FYI just booked another post-Richard’s class job. Indiana Lottery this time! SO glad Carol (CAM Talent Agency) told me about you and your class! Thank you so much.

I've been studying with Rick for about a year now. In that time he helped me go from an amateur with no experience to now a professional working actor. I recently just finished shooting my first national commercial. Rick's experience as an actor, director and casting director in the business allows him to keep it real and teach you how to be successful in the business. If your in Ohio and you want to be a professional actor, studying with Rick is a must.
