Richard Mason is a SAG-AFTRA, AFTRA, and Actors’ Equity actor, casting director, and talent agent with over 30 years of experience across film, television, commercial work, and live performance. Trained at the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, he brings a rare, multi-angle perspective to performance—shaped by time both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

He has appeared in numerous screen projects including Birdy, The Kill Point, and The Father Dowling Mysteries, and he has cast national commercial campaigns for brands like Donatos Pizza and the Ohio Lottery. As a casting director and agent, Richard understands exactly what industry professionals are looking for—and helps his students rise to that level.

Richard is the founder of Acting in Columbus, one of Central Ohio’s most respected acting programs, where he has trained thousands of students in on-camera performance, industry readiness, and self-tape success.

At TripleForce Academy, Richard teaches both the popular Acting for TV Commercials One-Day Workshop and a six-week Acting for Film & TV course, offering students the structure and repetition they need to build real skill. His teaching is hands-on, honest, and laser-focused on performance that connects—and books.
